Salzburg, Austria.

1601. Fourteen years before the Mayflower landed, Trumer Brauerei started brewing beer in Salzburg. For the first 175 years of its existence, Trumer produced Bavarian style beers and did so patiently, slowly building upon the craft and gaining a reputation as a quality beer maker. It wasn’t until the purchase of the company by local hops merchant, Josef Sigl, that the Brewery became known and synonymous throughout the Austro-Hungarian Empire as an exceptional brewery.
With the introduction of the new Pilsner style lager, the Sigl family saw potential. They concentrated on perfecting the pilsner style, and soon became hailed throughout Europe for their artfully crafted beer. The proud tradition and attention to detail persists today at the brewery in Salzburg. |
