Bols Genever and Trumer Pils “Kopstootje” or “Little Head Butt” Dinner Headlines SF Beer Week.
Stand up at the bar, hands behind your back, bend at the waist, slurp the Bols Genever, and chase it with a Trumer Pils beer back. You’ve just executed a textbook “Kopstootje” also known as “Little Head Butt.”
During 2012 San Francisco Beer Week, Comstock Saloon, Trumer Pils and Bols Genever, by the world’s oldest distilled spirits company, Lucas Bols, will teach tipplers all about the butt with the ”Kopstootje Dinner”: A pan Dutch-Austrian Culinary Extravaganza.

Why: Comstock Saloon, Trumer Pils and Bols Genever present a unique and interactive dine-and-drink event during San Francisco Beer Week that celebrates the traditional Dutch shot-and-beer pairing known as the Kopstootje or “Little Head Butt.”
Comstock Saloon bartenders Jeff Hollinger and Jonny Raglin have been well ahead of the curve, introducing San Francisco to the Kopstootje in 2010. Just a little over a year later the “beer and a shot” has been touted by top food and beverage media as one of the top trends of 2012.
In addition to world-class drinks, Chef Carlo Espinas will present a special 3-course pan Dutch-Austrian menu (see below). Special guests include Trumer Lead Brewer, Jeff Eaton, and Bols Genever Brand Ambassador Marcos Tello.
How Much: $52 (incl. tax and gratuity.
Guests will enjoy three courses, 3-4 cocktails/beer, and take home a Bols Genever Tulip glass and a Trumer signature glass.
