Trumer Pils Sets the Gold Standard!

December 22nd, 2008

Berkeley, California

Trumer Pils has been awarded the Gold medal for best German-Style Pilsner at the 2008 European Beer Star Awards. This outstanding achievement follows Trumer Pils second consecutive Gold medal at the 2008 World Beer Cup.

The European Beer Star competition held in Nuremberg, Germany, awards medals to individual beers that are outstanding in their class. The 2008 competition saw a record number of entrants from around the globe, 688 beers in 42 categories from over 32 countries representing every continent.

The European Beer Star Awards and the World Beer Cup are two of the most prestigious beer competitions in the world, while the German-Style Pilsner category is one of the most competitive. For Trumer Pils to consistently win the Gold medal in this category over successive years – and in both competitions – is a testament to the brewing excellence at the Trumer Brauerei in Salzburg, Austria, and its sister brewery, the Trumer Brauerei in Berkeley, California.
The European Beer Star Awards are organized by the Private Breweries Association in Germany and the Bavarian Private Breweries Association in conjunction with the Association of Small and Independent Breweries in Europe.
