Trumer Brauerei Berkeley Awarded Silver Medal for German-Style Pilsner
“Olympics” of Beer included 3,330 Beers in 90 Beer Style Categories

Trumer Pils claimed a Silver medal at the World Beer Cup 2010. This competition organized by the Brewers Association, evaluated beers from around the world and recognizes the most outstanding in their particular styles. This is Trumer Brauerei’s third consecutive medal following Gold medal wins in 2006 and 2008 at this international competition.

We toast this third consecutive World Beer Cup Medal to our brew team colleagues there as we thank them for their inspiration.”

In total, 3,330 beers were entered in 90 beer style categories by a total of 642 breweries representing 44 countries worldwide. Judges from 26 countries participated in this year’s competition, working in teams to conduct blind tasting evaluations of the beers and determine the awards. Drawn from the ranks of professional brewers and brewing industry experts, these 179 judges came mostly from international breweries – more than half from outside the United States.

Brewed in the original German Pilsner style, Trumer Pils imports the finest malt and hops from select sources in Germany and Austria to deliver a light golden brew with a creamy head that balances traditional hopping with rounded malt and a sweet, crisp finish.
