Berkeley, CA

On April 21, 2006, brewers from the Trumer Brauerei Salzburg in Austria came to visit their sister brewery in Berkeley, California: the Trumer Brauerei Berkeley. Master Brewer Axel Kiesbye, one of the key contributors in the development of Trumer Brauerei Berkeley, led the group; for some visitors this was their first trip to the brewery — while for others, this was their first steps on American soil. For all, it was a coming home of sorts, reuniting two breweries bonded together through the common goal of offfering the world’s best beer; a goal now firmly cemented with a recent gold medal win for Best German-Style Pilsner at the World Beer Cup.
