TRUMER BRAUEREI HOSTS EARTH DAY CELEBRATION & NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP SATURDAY, APRIL 23
$2 Trumers and Beach Cruiser Bike Raffle Benefit East Bay Bike Coalition
WHO: Trumer Brauerei, makers of the world’s best pilsner, is toasting Mother Earth. The brewery is spearheading a neighborhood clean-up and hosting a celebration to support the East Bay Bike Coalition and its mission to promote bicycling as an everyday means of transportation and recreation.
WHAT: The Trumer brewers and staff are inviting the public to join them in sprucing up the West Berkeley neighborhood. They’ll lead the charge in cleaning up a four-by-seven block area from Gilman to Cedar and 4TH to San Pablo Ave. from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Participants will score a free Trumer Earth Day t-shirt and all-natural whole nut and fruit bars from KIND. Post clean-up, participants can enjoy a free VIP brewery tour and tasting.
Trumer’s neighborhood clean-up will be followed by an open-to-the-public Earth Day Celebration at the brewery from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Trumer’s Earth Day Celebration is an extension of the Berkeley Earth Day Festival taking place two miles away at the Civic Center Park.
A biodiesel shuttle will provide free transportation to and from the Berkeley Earth Day Festival and Trumer Brauerei every 30 minutes. At Trumer, attendees can eat, drink, support the East Bay Bike Coalition and enjoy the following:
• A free brewery tour and tasting
• $2 Trumers (proceeds benefiting the East Bay Bike Coalition)
• A raffle to win a Trumer beach cruiser bike and snowboard (proceeds benefiting the East Bay Bike Coalition)

ABOUT TRUMER: Trumer Pils was introduced to the U.S. in 2004 when Trumer Brauerei Berkeley, the sister brewery to 400-year old Trumer Brauerei Salzburg, was built. Because a pilsner is one of the most delicate styles of beer, it was important that Trumer Pils be made locally in the U.S., instead of importing from Europe. Trumer Pils is a unique partnership of two family-owned companies: Privatbrauerei Josef Sigl in Salzburg and The Gambrinus Company in the U.S. Trumer Pils has received gold medals at the Great American Beer Festival, the World Beer Cup, the Australian International Beer Awards and the European Beer Star. Trumer Brauerei Berkeley is located at 1404 4th Street in Berkeley, Calif. and is open Monday through Friday and offers free brewery tours daily.
